As well all know that the total number of cases in the world have reached more than 17Million, Google extends work from home till July 2021. The company earlier planned to open the office on 6 July 2020.
The company CEO, Sundar Pichai said before that they will open the office for some of the employees. The decision to extend work from home for all the employees is because of the Corona Virus pandemic. Pichai said in a memo to the employees that, the company has reopened 42 offices all around the world.
Pichai also wrote, “To give employees the capacity to plan ahead, we will be extending our global optional work from home option through 30 June 2021 for roles that don’t need to be in the office. “I hope this will offer the flexibility you need to balance work with taking care of yourselves and your loved ones over the next 12 months.” Pichai also said It will also be easy for employees to sign a year contract if they decide to rent a home somewhere else while working outside the office.

Before the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced about the Corona Virus pandemic on March 11, Google and many other tech companies already had given their employees to work from home. Google was going to allow some of the employees to start coming to the Mountain View, California, headquarters, and the other offices from this summer. But because of this pandemic spreading this much fast, Google decided to reopen till 2021 summer.
CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, also said that they planned to keep their 48,000 employees at home till the end of this year. He also said that in May, he expects half of his employees to permanently transport to remit work in the next years. Amazon says that their workers might go on working from home all over 2020. U.S. President, Donald Trump, is being pushed for the re-opening of the economy, the corporate sector is making their own rules with considering to follow the norms aimed for stopping the further spread of COVID-19 cases.
All the businessmen and political leaders are waiting for the vaccine to come, and if it will take time then all the company’s will follow the steps of Google.
