Linkedin launches the new update known as an ‘audio clip’ in which the users can pronounce your name correctly. Many of the times some of them have experienced that while calling for interviews, people do not pronounce their names correctly. The audio can be of 10 seconds and it is recommended that holding your phone four inches far from your face and speak slowly, and there should be no background noise so that the voice can be recorded clearly. The recording can add through LinkedIn’s mobile app on iOS and Android, but it is audible in both mobile and desktop.
Joseph Akoni, Product Manager at LinkedIn said in a blog post that, “Starting from this week we are adding an audio recording feature to the Profile so you will have the potential to create a recording of your name pronunciation, which will then be clickable on your profile. Once you add an audio recording, other members visiting your profile can fast listen to the recording to better understand your pronunciation liking and, later, ensure that they can correctly say your name. You can also listen to other members’ pronunciations by visiting their profiles when they have added a recording,”
- Go to the profile on your mobile
- Then, View profile
- Go to Edit
- There will be an option given as ‘Record name pronunciation’.
- To record your name, tap on the recording button and hold the top button to record your name.
- After recording your name, tap on the use button.
- Once you complete all the steps, click on the Save button to make changes.
LinkedIn says it’s currently rolling out the feature to all of its 690 million global users worldwide. If you don’t find the feature then you don’t have to worry, it will come till next month worldwide.
