Mark Zuckerberg’s the CEO of Facebook in a large-scale user data breaking of at least 533 million Facebook accounts on Saturday, hackers also leaked the details. The data which got leaked includes his name, location, marriage details, Facebook user ID, birth date, and many more. Security neglect created a huge database of stolen phone numbers linked to the Facebook accounts and post it in the Hackers meeting which can also be easy to pass to anyone with basic computing skills.
The data was stolen earlier this year in the month of January after the hackers utilize an exposed related to phone numbers related to Facebook accounts. Facebook release the data as it was very old data, however, it doesn’t mean much of the data of users has changed over the course of time. Dave Walker Security Expert pointed out that the company’s own CEO was a victim of this data leak as Mark Zuckerberg’s data also got leaked.

The uncovered data includes 533 million impacted Facebook users from the latest 106 countries. 32 million records were leaked from the US, and almost 11 million from the UK, and over 6 million users’ data was leaked from India. One Facebook spokesperson said in a statement that the data was dumped by Facebook Inc. in 2019 due to an exposed patch and was a couple of years old.
The CTO of cybercrime intelligence firm Hudson Rock Alone Gal who first identified the violation apparently said that the data still provided precious customer information to the cybercriminals.
Facebook has been facing inspection about data inspection for years ever since the social media jumbo was used by the political firm Cambridge Analytica to access the information of 87 million users. The company accessed the data without their knowledge which got even more inspection from U.S. officials. Facebook disabled the feature which allowed users to search one another thru phone numbers due to this incident.
In the year 2019, an inspection researcher from Ukraine spotted a database with names, phone numbers, and unique ids of 267 million Facebook users who were based in the US. The shocking news was that the database was discovered on the open internet which could be accessed by anyone.
It is such shocking news that the CEO of Facebook’s own personal data was found as a part of this huge leak.
