TESLA TO DEVELOP AMAZING ELECTRIC VAN FOR UP TO 12 PASSENGERS

Tesla has a new project under development, an electric van that includes 12 passengers and their luggage. The Boring Company has the idea to use the high-speed tunnel to build between the Ontario International Airport and the city of Rancho Cucamonga. Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, and SpaceX said that the tunnels should be around 4.5 kilometers long, 4.2 meters wide, and 35 feet below the ground. 

The Boring Company is a project of $75 million which also includes operational costs, which won’t take more than four years. The company recently completed a tunnel in Las Vegas. The tunnel would beat at up to 127 miles per hour by creating a 2.8-mile trip in nearby 90 seconds to approximately two minutes. In the whole day, 1,200 people will be picked and dropped to the airport station.

A county director said that the system will work with Musk’s company-Tesla to develop the twelve-seater electric vans, as reported in The Mercury News.

The County Supervisor Curt Hagman said, “It gets us thinking in a new way. This is something that can be done relatively quickly and cheaply.” Also, Schindler said, “That could jump to $75 million when adding an operations center, management services, and paying operators prevailing wages”
