TWITTER STARTS OUTSTANDING NEW AUDIO TWEETS FEATURE FOR IOS USERS: 2020

Twitter starts the new audio tweets for iOS which allows the users to share their thoughts threw audio in their feeds. The update will come in the next week. Still, there is no announcement for Android and Web. The option of audio tweets is very simple. The options come along with the photo and videos to quickly record the audio message.  

“Over the years, photos, videos, gifs, and extra characters have allowed you to add your own flair and personality to your conversations,” said in the blog spot. Also said that “Sometimes only 280 characters are not enough, so they tried this new feature which will add more communication between the people.”

How to record the Audio Tweet:

Open the twitter account. Then, tap to tweet the composer. Then, tap into the new icon with wavelengths. After that go to your profile photo with the record button at the bottom. 

Each of the tweets captures up to 140 seconds (2 minutes and 20 seconds) of audio. In all the audio tweets, the user’s profile photo will come in between the audio. The viewers can continue to listen to an audio tweet and also can scroll through the feed. The audio tweets are still not available in Android users. It has not yet commented about when the feature will make its way to Android.

In 2017, they announced the limit of 140 to 280 characters and now it announced this new feature. One thing that’s surely a question is how audio tweets will add to Twitter’s misuse problem. Twitter has plenty of challenges when it comes to identifying persecution among text tweets, which are much easier to auto-flag with machine learning tools. To get the solution of this abuse in audio scrap is a much taller order for these systems. Moreover, scrubbing through content that’s been reported manually is going to be more time taking for content moderators.
