WhatsApp has apparently to dropped support for iPhones that are running iOS 9. A report from WABetalnfo mentions a source situation in which iOS 9 devices which on the 2.21.50 WhatsApp beta version, will not be able to use the messaging application. The company has yet to update its FAQ page with the same thing.
As per WEBetainfo, the popular messaging services will be drop support for iPhones which has iOS version 9 running in it with the arrival of version 18.104.22.168 which is recently in beta testing. The company has offered the users to have the opportunity to test the new features which are coming to other users through its Testflight trying services, which has currently been closed as there is no new aperture.
This confirms that in approaching the update of WhatsApp, users with iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s won’t be able to update their WhatsApp and eventually the application will need an update and refuse to work. iPhone 5, 5s, and 5c users who still have not updated to the new version of iOS should do it as soon as possible, or else they will not be able to use WhatsApp.
More information about WhatsApp:
WhatsApp is coming with a better version of archived chats. This feature is still under development and will be released in a short time. WhatsApp is apparently preparing user associate development for the archived chat cell, which will only be visible if you have chats in our archive. Once the feature is live, all the archived analysis will not be naturally unarchived.
It is important to note all the notifications from archived chats will be muted, which means that you will get to know if you have received any message. The mentioned source says that this feature will be optional. Right now you will find all the archive chats at the end of all the chats. You just have to open WhatsApp and scroll down till the end of the chats, there you will see the ‘Archived’ option which you need to click for all the archived chats.
Also, WhatsApp for some time has been reported on working on features like multi-device support, which helps users to simply shift between devices and use multiple devices at once. These features will also allow users to easily shift between using iOS and Android devices perfectly, without losing track of their data.
